I'm a mental health therapist providing online therapy in English to clients of all ages. Based out of Sweden, I love working with individuals and families who are experiencing cross-cultural lives.

ONLINE THERAPY IN ENGLISH

When living abroad it is not always easy to find a therapist in your own language. As a native English-speaker, I provide therapy via video sessions that you can access wherever you are. 

I'm currently primarily offering therapy online, but if you are located in Skåne (where I live), feel free to contact me about in-person options.

CROSS-CULTURAL LIVING

Moving countries can put many unseen stresses on individuals and families. Beyond navigating culture shock, sometimes we just need the opportunity to talk through the daily stresses of living in another culture.

With the experience of growing up and living in several cultures, I want to support others in their journey through cross-cultural transitions, and find more effective ways to thrive.

CROSS-CULTURAL KIDS

Kids who grow up in different cultures than their parents experience the world in a unique way. They develop beautiful strengths but also face particular challenges to their sense of belonging and identity. Have you noticed behavioural changes in your child after a move? Are you concerned about how your child or teen is handling a transition? Counselling can help cross-cultural kids process the experience of juggling multiple cultures, and gain confidence in their current context. 

As a therapist, I draw from my own experience of growing up globally, to counsel cross-cultural kids and TCKs (third culture kids).

MANAGING DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY

During different seasons and life situations we can experience an uptick in depression and/or anxiety. If you've noticed that you're feeling less enjoyment in life, having difficulty turning off anxious thought-cycles, difficulty sleeping, feeling hopeless, or thinking about suicide, these could be just some signs that you are dealing with depression or anxiety. In therapy, we can work together on developing tools to cope with depression and anxiety and develop healthy life habits.

I have experience working with clinically-diagnosed depression and anxiety, and helping people manage suicidal thoughts. If that's you today, don't hesitate to reach out.

CREATIVITY IN THERAPY

Therapy can be hard but it can also be fun! I believe that play and creativity helps us access emotions in a different way, and communicate from a different angle.

I like to use creative avenues - such as art or play - as part of the therapeutic process. Sometimes when we write something down, draw it, or act it out with toys, we have different symbols to express what is happening internally. Children particularly express themselves through play.
