ABOUT MY THERAPY

I believe that therapy is first and foremost an opportunity for growth. Therapy does not solve problems in our life, but it can help us grow in our capacity to handle challenges.

My goal is to welcome you into a safe and creative space where you can better understand what you're experiencing, and where we can together work towards change. This means creating a space to explore and name what you're feeling, and then taking action to manage current challenges.

I trained as a therapist in the US, and incorporate a variety of techniques in my counselling style, including creative activities. I love working with children, teens, and adults.

DIGITAL COUNSELLING SESSIONS

Wondering how to find a therapist near you? I offer online therapy sessions via Zoom so that I can provide counselling to those who may not be able to find an English-speaking therapist locally.

My sessions are in the Central European Time zone (CET), but I am available to meet with clients around the world.

COUNSELLING FOR CROSS-CULTURAL LIVING

My Therapy: Services

CROSS-CULTURAL TRANSITIONS

Counselling can be helpful at all stages in the process of moving. Preparing for a move by talking about it together as a family, processing the stress and adjustment after a move, or exploring losses and grief later on. Whether you're an individual or a family, I'd love to help you give yourself space to process the impact of a transition and develop tools to move through it.

TCKS

Third Culture Kids (TCKs) or global nomads are children who grow up globally and experience moving between cultures. Having grown up as a TCK myself, I offer a TCK-informed approach to counselling. I recognise the added challenges and unique beauty of growing up with many cultural identities. If you're a parent of a TCK then I want to help you develop ways to support your kids on their journey.

CREATIVITY

Using creative activities in therapy - such as play and art - have been shown to offer different ways for us to communicate. I like to use creative activities in my therapy sessions, as I believe it can be a powerful tool to process transition, grief, identity, and more.

DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY

Depression and anxiety are two of the most common mental health challenges we as humans face. It is common that depression and anxiety pop up in times of transitional stress! Sometimes recognising that we are struggling with depression or anxiety is the hardest step. I have experience working with people to develop creative ways to cope with and move through difficult seasons.

YOUNG ADULTS & INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

There is so much change going on in our lives as we enter adulthood. This can bring up a lot of stress, identity questions, and times of loneliness. If you feel the need to talk through life direction, relationships, or just finding your footing right now, then I'd love to walk with you in the journey.

Transitioning to another country for studies or a new life stage? Therapy can be particularly helpful if you are moving to another country for studies or work, or transitioning back to your parents' home country.

ATCKS

ATCKs - Adult Third Culture Kids - refers to people who spent their childhood in multiple cultures. Sometimes we have not processed how this important aspect of our life influenced us, and this can crop up in transition stress later in life. Feeling the need to understand your own cultural identity and current stressors? As an ATCK who is continually on this journey, I want to help you strengthen your understanding of yourself and your life experiences.
